(5/21/26) 2:10 P.M. UPDATE:
Swimmer still missing.
According to officials, the search will shortly transition to a recovery.
The Ocean City Police Department, Ocean City Fire Department, with support from the New Jersey State Police and U.S. Coast Guard have continued searching for a missing swimmer first reported shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday.
As of 2:00 p.m. Thursday, the swimmer has still not been found. The search remains active, but will be transitioning to a recovery shortly.
