Two private contractors were hospitalized this morning after suffering electric shock injuries while working outside a home in Ocean City, according to officials.
The incident happened shortly before 9 a.m. on Somerset Lane, when a worker was moving a metal ladder that came into contact with electric wires. The worker suffered an electric shock, and an additional worker was injured after touching the ladder while trying to help.

Both workers were flown by helicopter to a trauma center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Their status is unknown at this time.
