The Ocean City Police Department has identified and charged an individual who was caught on camera stealing money from the Ocean City Humane Society donation collection box inside the Hoy’s store on Asbury Avenue.
On Tuesday, officials posted photos of the theft on Facebook, seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual. The local community quickly shared the information, and just one day later, the man was arrested and charged.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed the identity of the individual, and there is no known motive at this time.
