Ocean City, NJ, Mayor Jay Gillian has won re-election, securing his fifth term after defeating challengers Pete Madden and Keith Hartzell. Gillian, who is the longest-serving mayor (first elected in 2010) has pledged to keep focusing on public safety and infrastructure improvements, maintaining Ocean City’s reputation as a top shore destination.


Election results showed Gillian holding strong support across the island, allowing the longtime mayor to retain control of City Hall. Supporters celebrated the victory Tuesday night at the Flanders Hotel as results came in.
