Ocean City, N.J. - City Council on Thursday, June 25, approved an ordinance designating Wonderland Pier at 600 Boardwalk as an area “in need of rehabilitation,” clearing the first procedural hurdle toward redevelopment of the site.
The designation opens the property to potential zoning changes that could pave the way for “Icona in Wonderland,” developer Eustace Mita’s proposed large-scale resort, a project that has divided the town.
