The Ocean City Housing Authority celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for the $23,000,000 Pecks Beach Village affordable housing project. Local officials including Mayor Jay Gillian and Assemblyman Antwan McClellan attended the event.

This project aligns with The Ocean City Housing Authority’s effort to replace deteriorating structures with updated housing. Last year, the housing authority approved the 60-unit development contract, which is funded by city and state funds.

Currently, the construction is projected to be completed in late 2027 or early 2028. Construction timelines may shift as work progresses.
