On Thursday, June 25th, Ocean City, NJ, City Council will be voting on placing the “In Need of Rehabilitation” designation on the property at 600 Boardwalk, also known as Wonderland Pier.

Over the last year, City Council has voted to send the issue to the Planning Board twice, and established an independent boardwalk subcommittee. This meeting, however, will be the final verdict on the ongoing situation.

600 Boardwalk, “Wonderland Pier”

This vote differs from the earlier ones. In the past, City Council referred the matter to the Planning Board for review before any action was taken. This time, the Council will decide directly.

The designation for 600 Boardwalk rests entirely with the Council, with no referral to the Planning Board. The Meeting has been scheduled for the Music Pier (825 Boardwalk) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 25th.
