Seaspray Condominiums, located at 3313 Bay Avenue, was officially designated in need of rehabilitation by the Ocean City Planning Board during their meeting last month. City Council will now review the site, and have the opportunity to choose a developer.
Currently, the exact plans for the site remain uncertain. While reports suggest the possibility of a 43-unit project, no official announcement has been made. The Philadelphia-based HOW Group has agreed to purchase the property, but any development will require approvals.

The condominiums, which have been vacant for more than two years, have developed into an eyesore. Due to its prime location, the deteriorating building is the first sight of many visitors.
While not as contentious as the ongoing Wonderland Pier Dispute, this rehabilitation designation still carries weight. With the right approvals, the property has the potential to transform back into a lively hub, bringing new energy to a quieter part of the island.
